Hi!

Do you have the first two, vinyl-only releases by Ur Kaos (Hedren, Lach'n, Paulsson)?

Once again, thanks for the great posts! I'm happy to see that you have re-posted Unrest, Work & Play... was hoping to check this release out. No doubt this is my favourite blog to date (though border music comes a close 2nd).

I look forward to more excellent posts in the future.

Hi z,

that would be great! Both Ur Kaos LPs are impossible to find. I would be very curious to hear them!

Hope all's well, rz - keeping you bookmarked. Hope you'll be back with more - all in your own good time, whenever you're ready. Thanks for the many otherwise lost goodies.

there is/was a very strange Slapphappy single, I forget the title but the lyrics were completely surreal. opening lines go "learning to center his mind, stealing to visit the grave, conveyed from carraige to court, cockeyed on conganc and eloquent thought, incapable of talk." and it takes off from there. can't find it anywhere

thanks for the ZNR

anon,
you're referring of course to the song 'alcohol' - you memorised the lyrics quite well! it was a one-sided single issued by recommended in '81 as a gift to subscribers to their reissue of 'sort of'.
according to the very excellent peter blegvad fan-page
http://idiot-dog.com/music/blegvad.peter/
it's a 'desperate straights' demo, never released otherwise, though you can find it included in the slapp happy 'ultra rare tracks' boot.
there is a post with this song over here:
http://detailedtwang.blogspot.com/2007/02/peter-blegvads-alcohol.html
unfortunately i couldn't reached their download serves, therefore can't say if it's still up. anyways i upped it also myself:
http://www.sendspace.com/file/3mzkzd
so you can't say you weren't served :)
greets
