The Momes : Spiralling

Kind of a super-group made of half of The Work (Tim Hodgkinson & Mick Hobbs) and half of Unrest, Work & Play (Andy Wake). Sounds exactly as a combination of these two great groups, with a very live, even punky sound. Urgent, demanding. This, their only release, is from 1989 just before the reunion of The Work for the Rubber Cage album.
Note: Imminent reissue alert! Check below.

Any thoughts on the Mick Hobbs/Officer! tape "Bandagen/Some Songs"? Or the Officer! s/t or "Cough" tapes? Ever seen them?

hi anon,
you're close - i was planning 'ossification' as one of my next posts. as for the tapes, i've got 'cough' and another just called 'officer', both 2nd gen. tapes - never saw the originals (few have i believe)! the bad news is that one of the tapes has a nasty buzzing sound from start to finish, can't recall which one. don't believe i can take that off, but who knows? never tried... also i lost the tracklists to both of them (they are on a same cass). can someone help out with this?

dear rz, i'm happy to see you back!!!
many things you post i don't see on the blogs or in the forums - very unique stuff!
it seems you really have your rules and regulations about posting just unavailable stuff, right? i respect that - but it's still a kind of theft, without having the copyright - and to most out-of-print records there are copyrights ... blabla - this is going nowhere, i just think to myself, posting some out of print, some in print, and some in between...

cheers, orang

ps: works very fine for me
