This Heat : Live In Krefeld

The semi-official This Heat live album recorded at a concert in Krefeld, Germany, 1980. Cassette-only independent German release, later re-released also in vinyl format. Bootleged under the title Cold Storage. The initial cassettes were carefuly done 1:1 copies on CrO2 tapes with subsequent very good sound. The group was at the height of its powers, working like a clockwork. Power, nicely captured. Contains also one truly great unreleased song.

Thanks so much for this, I have a few-generations-removed cassette that still sounds good.

I started a new blog, inspired by yours and a few others... I'm mostly going to focus on 80's cassette culture stuff.

link if you like...

Merci for ANOTHER excellent This Heat release!

I heard bits & pieces of it found on the web, now finally here's the entire cassette. A great find!

This Heat, Camberwell Now and the solo work from Charles Hayward is definately some of most awesome music I had the pleasure to listen to!

Thanks a lot!

thanks shards. it always seemed to me that it's better to have a singular theme for a blog than to wander in too many directions. you have a very nice concept. keep on..!
mr.lucky, i agree with you 100%, as usual!
herr armel, very interesting. it would be wonderful if you'd have any further recollections of that particular night to share with us?
thanks folks!

I've just come across your amazing blog - what a joy to find some of this stuff - but what a disaster to find the Live In Krefeld link has been deleted.
Could you repost it??
